FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 7th, 2025
Lewiston, Idaho.| In their second set of double headers against Lewis-Clark State College the Warner Pacific Knights baseball team showed out but still came away with two losses. The first game ended with a score of 10-6 and game two ended 14-3 in seven innings.Â
Game one
In game one the Knights were quiet for the start of the game but found two runs in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. However, even with the offense putting up numbers, the Warriors of LCSC scored runs of their own, scoring eight runs between the fifth and eight innings.Â
Individually, Mitchell Thoma-Britt had two hits and two RBI's with Matthew Revels having two hits as well. On the Mound Jaxon Hamada had his second start of the year giving up three runs with three strikeouts. Hamada pitched well getting out of a few jams and really gave the Knights a chance to win the game.
Game two
In game two the Knights were hurt by a big LCSC first inning as the Warriors put up 11 runs with two outs. This was the end of the Warriors scoring until the third, fourth and fifth innings when the Warriors put up one each inning. The Knights put up three in the fifth inning, but it wasn't enough to catch LCSC.Â
Trenton Lowe hit his first home run of the season, with Gio Alvillar having another double for the season. On the mound Jarrod Seibel went 2.1 innings giving up two runs with four strikeouts. Additionally, Shawn Hunt went three innings with three strikeouts of his own. Both Seibel and Hunt really pitched as well as they possibly could giving the Knights some needed innings since the game was decided so early on in the contest.
Up next
The Knights will hit the road once again next weekend and head to Klamath Falls, Oregon to take on the Oregon Tech Owls. The first set of double headers will be on Friday, April 12th at 12pm and 3pm with Saturday's games starting at 11am and 2pm.Â
