Red Hawks Topple Knights

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – August 29th, 2025

Redding, California.| The Warner Pacific Knights Women's Soccer team finished out their trip to the Golden State and lost in a close 1-0 bout to Simpson University.

The lone goal of the day was sent in by Simpson's Nadia Santiago which was her first goal of the season and was enough to salt the game away for the Red Hawks. The Knights put up eight shots in which 8 of them were on goal. Simpson on the other hand put up 12 shots in which half of them were on goal. The Knights were able to garnish just two corner-kick attempts while Simpson had 6.

The Knights had three goalkeepers play in today's game. Javanae Jones a transfer from Multnomah, got the start today playing the entire first half and gave up the only goal in the 31st minute. Jones did, however, save three shots on goal. Senior Kate Pomerinke got the start in the second half playing 35:13 and saving a shot. Freshman Addison Keegan got her first bit of collegiate experience in the last ten minutes of regulation and earned her first save of her career.
