Kiya Gramps Scores Two Goals in Gutsy Loss to #5 COI

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 21th, 2025

Portland, OR.| In today's matchup the Warner Pacific Women's soccer team took on the fifth ranked College of Idaho and played one of their best games of the young season but unfortunately lost 3-2.

In an action-packed game this morning, the Knights were able to get it started as Kiya Gamps found the back net early in the 25th minute to give the Knights the lead. The scoring would slow down for the rest of the first half, but starting the second half, the seesaw match began when Natasja Davis scored in the 57th minute to tie the game up. With the game tied, both teams were looking for the go ahead goal. Kiya Gramps was up for the task, scoring again in the 62nd minute to give Warner the lead 2-1. Repeating that same cycle, Davis also scored again with the assist by Gianna Yslava to tie the game in the 70th minute. The Yotes showed why they are the fifth ranked team in the country scoring their game winning third goal in the 80th minute to seal the win.

In this match, the Knights received two yellows, one coming from Jenessis Cortes and one from Yvette Abundiz. With this loss, it drops the Knights to 0-2 in conference play. However, the Knights this weekend showed a massive energy change and played very well on both sides of the ball.

Next Up
