Knights Lose In Final Minute to the Argos

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – September 28th, 2025

Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights Men's Soccer team took on the Argos of Providence today and lost in heartbreaking fashion 2-1.

The Knights struck first blood with a goal in the 24th minute on a shot put in by Bryan Jimenez for his first goal of the season. The Knights then continued to hold the Argos scoreless until about ten minutes left in the contest when the Argos tied the game up with a goal scored by Musa Jallow who is the cousin of the Knights Musa Jatta. The goal was assisted by Hugo Gil.

The game tying goal was definitely a tough goal to give up but things got more dire for the Knights when the Argos scored a goal with just over a minute left in regulation. This goal was scored by Jose Gonzalez and was assisted by Pedro Rodrigues. This goal put the Argos up for good handing the Knights their third loss of the season.

The Argos put up ten total shots including eight on goal. The Knights put up 17 shots on goal including 12 on goal. Argos goalkeeper Andrew Schoenen got the win playing a great game saving 11 Knights shots and letting one shot in. Knights goalkeeper Jonathan Flores gave up the two goals and saved five shots.
