Eugene, Ore.| The Warner Pacific Knights Volleyball squad took on Bushnell today for some afternoon action and lost in three sets with final scores of 25-19, 25-15, and 25-16.
The Knights started the game off strong with a great first set pushing the Beacons to their limit, making the score 22-19 before the Beacons closed the set out winning the final three points. The second and third sets weren't quite as competitive but still came with some solid moments for the Knights. After going down 7-0 in the third set, the Knights finally scored on a kill by
Jodecee Jardine. The Beacons then scored four more points in a row to go up 11-1. Following a Knights successful challenge, the Knights fought back in a big way. WPU scored the next eight out of ten points pushing the score back closer to even at 13-8. From there, Bushnell pulled away, scoring the last 12 out of 19 points taking the match three sets to none.
Tayah-Anne Toa led the way for the Knights when it comes to the kill category with seven followed by
Nicole Nikiforets who had five. Nikiforets played a big part in the third set comeback with a solo block followed by two block assists to account for three straight points for the Knights.
Angel Camagay once again did the dirty work digging out 12 balls once again leading the Knights in that category followed by
