Mitchell Thoma-Britt Goes Yard Again in Loss to Corban

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 1st,  2025

Salem, Ore.| Warner Pacific Knights Baseball played their final game of a three game series against Corban University and ended up taking the loss today by a final score of 10-2 at Roto Rooter Field.

Corban came out angry after yesterday's two wins by the Knights and were looking to get revenge. Corban started their revenge tour off quickly in the first scoring four runs. The Knights would respond in the top of the second scoring a run on a Sergio Osoria Jr. double into the left center gap plating Trenten Lowe. Corban would quickly match it though with a run of their own in the third. Every time the Knights scored a run, the Warriors always had an answer.

Despite the loss, the Knights did pick up eight hits in which two of which came from Mason Deverna and Mitchell Thoma-Britt. Thoma-Britt went boom again just like yesterday hitting his second home run in as many days. Lowe would also have two hits this afternoon and Osoria checked in with the before mentioned RBI double.

The Knights did struggle a bit on defense today having four errors on the day, which led to Corban cashing in.

Next Up
It was a solid opening weekend for the Knights as they go two and one against a conference opponent in a non-conference series. They now get a chance to regroup as they are set to face Whitman College on February 14th in a double header. This will be Warner's home opener with first pitch set for 1pm at Milwaukie High School.
