Lewiston, Idaho.| Warner Pacific Knights Men's Basketball played well in an 88-78 loss to a Lewis-Clark State College squad who is receiving votes in the latest poll.
The Knights in the first half played very even with the Warriors heading into the locker room down just a point 40-39 behind a half leading 18 points from
Chad Napoleon who went 5-10 from the field in the period. John Lustig led the way in the half for the Warriors with ten points. The second half of the contest went the way of the Warriors outscoring the Knights 49-39. Lewis-Clark State College held their biggest lead of the game at the 4:10 mark in the second half, which was an 18-point advantage. The Knights battled hard and worked the game to within ten when the final buzzer sounded making winners of LCSC.
Napoleon finished up with 26 points, grabbing six rebounds and an assist.
Tyson Parker followed with 12 points, a rebound, an assist, and a steal.
Isiah Salim played a great game having a near double double. Salim finished with nine points, six rebounds, three assists, and a steal filling up the stat sheet for the Knights. For the Warriors, Lustig who had a great first half led the way for LCSC finishing with 28-point, 13 rebound double-double. Lustig also had four assists and a steal making a strong bid for conference offensive player of the week. Dylan Skaife finished with 14.
Next Up
The Knights will try to take this positive momentum tomorrow when they will be in College Place, Washington to take on the Wolves of Walla Walla. The game will be a late one starting at 9pm due to Seventh Day Adventist restrictions.
