FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – March 15th, 2026
Milwaukie, Ore.| Warner Pacific Knights Baseball played their last two games against Eastern Oregon today and lost game three but won game four. Eastern Oregon took game three 8-6 and the Knights took game four 5-1.
Game Three
There was lots of scoring but all in the latter half of this ballgame. EOU rallied for a three-run inning in the top of the sixth on multiple hits to get it going. Warner responded right away though in the bottom half, scoring four runs on multiple hits, including a double. They wouldn't stop there as they would add an insurance run in the bottom of the seventh to push their lead. Down two in the top of the ninth, EOU clutched up and racked up five runs to complete the comeback and then some. The Knights would get something brewing in the bottom half scoring a run but it simply wasn't enough for another comeback.
Offensively, the Knights had a better day at the plate than yesterday's output checking in with 11 hits and only struck out three times. The Knights were led by
Mason Deverna who went three for five with an RBI.
Mitchell Thoma-Britt and Gio Alvillar both had two RBIs. With Alvillar going two for four and Thoma-Brit one for five. Also with a big RBI double was
Jarrod Seibel. On the mound,
Jaxon Hamada got the start going 5.2 innings allowing three runs with three strikeouts.
Game Four
Once again a late start to the scoring in this one, but it got started in the bottom fifth when the Knights scored one run. They would then add two more in the sixth and eighth just paper cutting away to get them a five-run lead going into the ninth. EOU would score a run and would leave ducks on the pound to end the game.
Offensively,
Colin Schiller and Thoma-Britt both went two for three with one RBI. Along with Hale and Seibel both going one for two with an RBI. The Knights did a better job of pushing runs home this game and cashing in their chances with runners in scoring position. On the mound,
Mason Deverna dominated throwing eight innings of no run baseball on four hits and an impressive 12 strikeouts. To close this game was Kaden Hindmen allowing one run in the ninth.
