Knights Celebrate Senior Day With Two Wins Against Bushnell

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – April 11th,  2026

Milwaukie, Ore.| Warner Pacific Knights Baseball opened their final home series of 2026 against Bushnell University and took both games by final scores of 6-3 and 6-4.

Game one
Warner Pacific struck first in the second inning, playing situational baseball, getting runners on and scoring both with two sacrifice flies to take a 2–0 lead. With no answer from Bushnell, the Knights broke the game open in the fourth, adding four more runs on a two-run single followed by a two run double to make it 6–0. Bushnell would get it going in the fifth, scoring on a RBI double. The Beacons would get two more runs in the sixth, but that would be all they would score in this one.

Offensively, the Knights took advantage of key moments with six hits in those spots. It was a big three run RBI day on his senior day for Giovanny Alvillar. Mason Deverna would lead in hits with two. Alex Nesbit would get two RBIs on a hit. Jarrod Seibel also checked in with a sacrifice fly. All these hitters came in clutch on their Senior Day. On the mound was Donny Tober and would get his first win of the season with another quality outing going seven innings, allowing three runs, with four strikeouts. To close the game out would be the lefty Hank Kern who pitched the final two innings recording a strikeout. Kern would pick up a six-out save which would be the first of his career as a Knight.

Game Two
The Knights once again started off hot, getting runners on base in the first and ended up scoring a couple runs on a throwing error. Bushnell wouldn't stay silent and slammed a three-run home run. The Beacons would play some situational baseball of their own scoring a run in the top of the sixth. Warner would rally for a big bottom half though responding with four runs to take the lead back. The Knights took this lead all the way to the end to take their second win of the day.

On offense, it was a three RBI game for Trenten Lowe. Skyler Roque-Sunahara would have a day going two for two while getting a couple of RBIs as well. Alvillar would once again get an RBI as well in this contest. On the mound, senior Ayden Yaegar would get the win in this one pitching seven innings allowing four runs with four strikeouts. Getting the save in this would be Kaden Hindman getting two strikeouts in the save.
