Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific University Men's Soccer program has announced the addition of junior transfer James Montaillier to the Knights roster for the upcoming season.
Montaillier joins the Knights from Rogue Community College after helping lead the program to back-to-back South Region championships in the Northwest Athletic Conference. Known for his versatility and work ethic, Montaillier brings valuable collegiate experience to Warner Pacific as the Knights continue building toward the future.
Originally from Medford, Montaillier attended South Medford High School where he graduated in 2024. During his high school career, South Medford established itself as one of the top programs in the state, earning a No. 7 ranking in the Oregon School Activities Association standings during the 2023 season.
At Rogue Community College, Montaillier continued to develop into a dependable and versatile player capable of contributing on both sides of the ball. His competitive mindset and team-first approach helped Rogue capture two South Region titles during his time with the program.
Warner Pacific Head Coach
Troy Ready spoke highly of Montaillier and the impact he is expected to make with the Knights.
"James comes to us by way of Rogue CC where he was a 2x South Regional Champion," Ready said. "His versatility is one of his greatest attributes as he can provide quality in a number of positions. I have been impressed in watching James on both the attacking side of the ball and in his commitment to defend. We are excited to have him at Warner Pacific!"
In addition to his athletic goals, Montaillier plans to pursue a degree in sports management while attending Warner Pacific. The Knights are excited to welcome Montaillier to Portland as he begins the next chapter of his academic and athletic career in a Knights uniform.
