Cipriano Acosta Transfers to the WarnerPac

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – May 13th, 2026

Portland, Ore.| The Warner Pacific University Men's Soccer Program has announced the addition of true sophomore transfer Cipriano Acosta to the Knights roster for the upcoming season.

"Cip is a talented Winger with years of collegiate experience already in his tool belt," Head Coach Troy Ready said. "His dynamic abilities in the channels will provide our team with an additional attacking option! Cip is motivated and ready to transition to WPU Soccer!"

Acosta arrives at Warner Pacific from Spokane Falls Community College after a strong start to his collegiate career.  Originally from Yakima, Acosta attended Davis High School where he was a standout performer on the soccer field throughout all four years of high school. During his high school career, Acosta helped lead his team to a third-place finish at the state tournament and earned First Team All-League honors as a forward thanks to his attacking ability and consistent offensive production.
Following high school, Acosta continued his development at Spokane Falls Community College, where he quickly made an impact and earned Second Team All-League recognition. His experience at the collegiate level and proven ability are expected to strengthen the Knights attack as the program prepares for the upcoming campaign.

At Warner Pacific, Acosta plans to study education while continuing his soccer career at the next level. His commitment to academics and athletics reflects the type of student-athlete the Knights strive to develop within the program.

Off the field, Acosta enjoys a variety of hobbies that keep him active and competitive. He loves snowboarding, spending time in the gym, playing video games, and competing in ping pong.

The Knights are excited to welcome Acosta to Portland and look forward to the energy, experience, and versatility he will bring to the Warner Pacific men's soccer program.
