Alexandra Flores

Alex Flores, a native Oregonian from Hillsboro, graduated from Liberty High School, and currently resides in Sherwood, Ore. As a high school student-athlete, Coach Flores lettered in varsity softball all four years at Liberty, and was selected to First Team All-League and Second Team All-State honors as a utility player in her freshman season. Improving upon a stellar high school debut, Flores garnered First Team All-League and First Team All-State honors her sophomore year, this time as a catcher. Following an injury that kept her on the bench the following year, Flores bounced back to achieve Honorable Mention All-League honors in her final season at Liberty.

Flores attended Portland State University, playing catcher for the Vikings through the 2014-2016 seasons, playing in 92 games through her three seasons with PSU where Flores started all 51 games for the Vikings her sophomore year. Batting .239% with a strong slugging percentage of .322% on the plate, Flores closed out her career with a .969% fielding percentage, leaving her mark as an unwavering defensive threat for the Vikings.

Flores arrives at Warner Pacific after a brief stint with Mt. Hood Community College, where she was an Assistant Coach for the Saints and held the role of Pitchers & Catchers Coach during the 2020 season. Mt. Hood finished the delayed 2020 season at 11-13 overall, with only conference games being played due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Dating back to 2016, Alex has remained a vital part of the Oregon Thunder Softball organization. The Oregon Thunder program is one of the best fast-pitch softball programs in the Pacific Northwest that provides high school softball players with the ability to grow and enhance their skills on the field, as well as help prepare them for their collegiate softball careers.

Originally playing for the Thunder for seven years, Flores has spent the last five years with the program as a head coach for multiple teams varying in age level, most recently coaching the 18U team to a 2021 Triple Crown World Series Runner-Up placement. She also provided multiple athletes with the skills and opportunities to be recruited and sign with collegiate softball programs from the community college to NCAA levels.
