Alex joined the Warner Pacific women’s basketball coaching staff in the fall of 2019 after spending two years with University of Portland Pilots Women’s Basketball program. For the 2017-2018 season, Alex volunteered for the Pilots doing personnel scouting, film breakdown and statistical analysis before being brought on staff for the 2018-2019 as Director of Basketball Operations. In his time as DOBO, Alex handled the day-to-day operations, travel, program budgeting and scheduling for the Pilots.
Alex grew up in San Francisco before moving to the PNW to continue his education at Gonzaga University, graduating with a degree in Physical Education. While at GU, Alex was on the practice squad for the Zags Women’s Basketball from 2007-2009. After college, Alex headed abroad teaching English in Costa Rica and South Korea.
Alex and his wife Amber, an elementary school teacher, live in Portland.
