Hall of Honor
Dave Dougherty was a member of the Warner Pacific basketball team from 1963-66. Nicknamed “Bag”, he was named team MVP three times (64,65,66) and led the Knights to two PCCC Championships.
A long time pastor in the Northwest, Dave was a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ and his focus was on loving and serving people. Over more than 40 years of marriage, Dave and his wife Peggy were a formidable leadership team for the church.
Throughout his ministry, Rev. Dougherty was an enthusiastic supporter of Warner Pacific athletics, particularly the basketball and track & field programs. As an alumnus and former athlete, he was a true ambassador and valued friend of Knight athletics.
Dave’s dignity and joy in the face of terminal cancer was an inspiration to WPC athletes and coaches, and he is dearly missed.
