WP Falls in Caldwell, Will Host OIT in CCC Playoffs

CALDWELL, Idaho - Felicity Jones scored 16 points, including a crucial 10-foot jumper with a minute to play, lifting the No. 23 ranked Lady Yotes to the 62-56 victory over Warner Pacific inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.

Leading 51-50 the Yotes isolated Jones at halfcourt, with the junior driving into the paint, hitting the fallaway jumper to extend the lead to three. Katelin Shannon came up with a steal on the ensuing posession and was fouled, hitting a pair of free throws to help seal the victory and sending the Knights (19-10, 13-5) to a second straight loss.

Tina Fakahafua had 17 points and 13 rebounds in the win for the Yotes, while Calhoun and Katie Smith each scored 16 for WP.

Warner Pacific ends the regular season as the #4 seed for the Cascade Conference Tournament, and will host #5 seed Oregon Tech (21-9, 10-7 CCC) on Tuesday night at Bart Valentine Court.
