Knights Puts Sights on CCC Tournament After Loss on Senior Day

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – February 21st, 2026

Portland, Ore.| Warner Pacific Women's Basketball celebrated Senior Day by playing in a highly contested game against Northwest University and ultimately lost by a final score of 62-55.

The Knights played very well in this contest, but Northwest was on a mission. The Eagles played as if their lives depended on it and in their case, it did. Northwest needed a win to clinch the eighth and final playoff spot for the upcoming CCC Tournament. Senior Skylar Groesbeck played with her hair on fire today filling up the stat sheet in a big way. Groesbeck had 18 points, seven rebounds, four assists, and four steals. Shielteal Watah also filled up the stat sheet with ten points, five rebounds, one assist, and three steals.

Northwest was led tonight by Kaleah Medeiros who scored 16 points and nearly completed a double-double with eight rebounds.

"Tough finish to a thrilling comeback," Head Coach Jimmy Smith said. "I thought we really competed in the fourth quarter and gave ourselves a chance. It's now about prepping for the conference tournament and turning the page."
