LC Uses Three Ball to Defeat Knight Men

Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. - Lewis & Clark sank 17 three pointers on their way to a 100-89 win over Warner Pacific tonight in non-conference men's basketball action at Pamplin Sports Center.

The visiting Knights (3-6) trailed by just three points (45-42) the break, as WP erased a 16 point deficit by going on a 13-0 run to close out the first half.

The momentum did not carry over into the second period, however. Ryan Parks drained a trey on the Knights' first possession of the half which tied the game for the first time on the night, but the host Pioneers (3-0) responded with a 20-8 run to build a 12 point advantage. L&C remained in control for the duration of the half, save a late charge from the Knights. Warner Pacific was able to cut a 17 point Pioneer lead down to seven with 23 seconds to play but could draw no closer.

Quentin Sims had the hot hand for Lewis & Clark. The senior finished with 31 points including nine three pointers. Kurt Parker added 19 points off the bench.

The Knights received a good performance from William Sharp, who led the team with 21 points. Parks hit four shots from behind the arc on the way to 19 points. Doug Thomas contributed 15 points, while Josh Black passed for a game high nine assists.

Warner Pacific gave up 100 points as a team for the first time since January 25, 2008.

COMING UP: Warner Pacific will host Multnomah University on Tuesday, November 26 at 7 pm.
