League Leading Mountaineers Ease Past WPC

PORTLAND, Ore. – Eastern Oregon women's basketball remains undefeated in Cascade Conference play with a 66-50 win at Warner Pacific College tonight.

EOU connected on 10 of 17 attempts from three point range, while holding WPC to just 34 percent shooting from the field to earn the victory. The host Knights played a solid first half and were within seven points (39-32) at halftime, but could muster just 18 points in the second period.

Kelsea Hurliman dropped in a game high 26 points to lead EOU. She was joined in double figures by Nicole Redd at 17 points.

The Knights were led by Chelsey Christensen with 16 points and eight rebounds, and Morgan Wolff added 13 points.

Warner Pacific slides to 16-11 overall and 11-6 in CCC play, and coupled with Oregon Tech's win in Klamath Falls tonight, falls to 4th place in the league standings with one game to play.

The outstanding season for the Mountaineers continues as EOU improves to 27-2 overall and 17-0 in league counters.
