Box Score PORTLAND, Ore. - Eastern Oregon used a dominating performance on the glass to defeat Warner Pacific, 86-53, tonight in Portland and remain undefeated in CCC play.
Brittney Newcomb scored a game high 27 points for EOU (14-4, 6-0 CCC), and the Mountaineers held a 47-23 advantage in rebounding which spurred the visitors to the win. Warner Pacific hung around in the first half and trailed by just 13 at the break, but suffered a scoring drought in the opening minutes of the second period. EOU took advantage with a 9-0 run and cruised to the victory.
Jordan Wilcox found the range from the three point line for Warner Pacific (5-11, 1-4 CCC), making 4 of 6 from behind the arc and leading the Knights with 16 points.
Janelle Weiss added eight points and three assists, but WPC as a team shot just 33 percent from the field.
Kassy Larson came off the bench to add 19 points and 10 rebounds for the Mounties.Â
