REDDING, Calif. – The Warner Pacific men's wrestling team travelled to California last Friday to particiapte in their first official duals of the season. The Knights fell to #3 ranked Great Falls, but picked up a win over #14 ranked Simpson.
"The guys competed well and I think they see that we can give any team in our region some real trouble," said coach
Frank Johnson. "Great Falls is very strong but many of the individual matches were close decisions. We caught Simpson with a few of their top guys out of the lineup but it was still satisfying to see us on the right side of the final score."
The team also participated in the NorCal Collegiate Open on Saturday. Results will be posted as soon as they are available.
