Knight Women Roll Past Multnomah

PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific jumped out to a big lead and cruised to a comfortable win over Multnomah last Friday by the score of 84-50.

The Basics

 Score: Warner Pacific 84, Multnomah 50
 Records: WPC (6-7, 0-2 CCC), MU (1-8)
 Location: Skagen Court, Portland, Ore.
 The Short Story: The Knights made the short trip to future conference foe Multnomah last weekend, and came away with a 84-50 victory over the host Lions. WPC amassed a big lead during the first half, using a 27-0 run to build a 31-4 advantage. WPC was able cruise to the win during the remainder of the game, and all 11 players who suited up managed to tally points. 

How it Happened

• The Knight defense held Multnomah scoreless for over 10 minutes during the first half.
• Back-to-back buckets from Daesha Jackson gave WP their largest lead of the first half (31-4) with 5:21 to play.
• The Lions managed to break the dry spell and closed the period strong enough to close the gap to 21 (40-19) at the break.
• After Nicole Verett hit a three pointer for MU to make the score 42-22, WPC pushed their advantage above 30 points. 
• Brett Larson scored in the paint to give the Knights their largest lead of the game at 83-45 with 3:11 to play.
