FOREST GROVE – The Warner Pacific wrestling team traveled to Pacific University for a dual tonight, cruising to a 39-6 win over the NCAA Div. III Boxers.
 
After accepting a forfeit from the Boxers at 125 lbs, Josh Crager dropped a hard fought decision to Eric Harder at 133 lbs. After scoring the match's first takedown against Crager, Harder made his move in the third period as earned an escape and takedown and allowed Crager just one escape to take the 6-1 decision.
 
Pacific was able to win just one more match, as Anthony Thomas was defeated in a close one by Joey Norcia at 184 lbs. After leading for the majority of the bout, Thomas surrendered three near fall points at the death in a 6-4 decision. 

The wins, however, were not enough to combat a major hole for the Boxers, who gave up additional forfeits at 165 pounds and 174 pounds. Amari Sengsavanh showed little mercy to Shawn Speer at 141 pounds, running away with a 23-9 major decision. Jesse Johnson ground out a low-scoring battle with Keith Thomas earning an escape and a technical violation point to squeak out the 2-1 decision.
 
Ricky Ridela appeared to be on his way to a victory, going up early 5-1 on Jawayne Fambrough at 157 pounds before coming back make it a 6-5 battle after one round. Fambrough cruised from there, scoring takedown after takedown to go on to the 25-13 major decision.
 
Gunner Sigado was outmatched by Brandon Morgan at 197 pounds as he too earned the Knights bonus points with a 12-4 major decision. Miguel Simon closed the evening with the match's only pin, needing only 54 seconds to take out Bryan Hoffmann.
