ATHERTON, Calif. - The Knight wrestling teams spent some of their Christmas break competing at Menlo College last weekend in dual and open tournament formats.

Several wrestlers were fighting various injuries and sickness, thus WPC put forward a limited lineup. The Knights who were able to take the mat were ready for the challenge.

The men faced host Menlo College to start the day on Friday, falling to the 7th ranked Oaks 29-9. The Knights also wrestled against the University of Alberta, coming away with an 18-15 win.

In the afternoon, the WPC duo of Deirdre Creed and Aarica Barcina were the lone Knights to participate for the women. Creed won all three of her matches by fall to win the 109 lb bracket. Barcina placed third with one win and two losses. 

Saturday featured an open men's tournament, where several Knights made good showings. Joshua Crager finished an undefeated weekend by winning the 133 lb bracket.
