PORTLAND, Ore.  – Southern Oregon scored the only goal of the afternoon at Damazo Field, breaking a defensive deadlock versus Warner Pacific in the 73rd minute.
 
Paul Matyas latched onto a ball after a scramble in the box and lofted a header over the outstretched hands of Knights keeper Erdal Barkay.
 
Scoring opportunities were limited, with SOU taking seven shots compared to six by WPC. The visiting Raiders also enjoyed a slight advantage in corner kicks at four to three.
 
Southern Oregon improved to 5-2-1 overall and 3-1-1 in CCC play. Warner Pacific fell to 1-6-1 and 0-4-1.
