PORTLAND, Ore. – The Warner Pacific men's soccer team battled league leading Oregon Tech to a 1-1 draw on Saturday night at a rainy Damazo Field.
The Knight defense showed it's improvement by holding the visiting Owls scoreless for 89 minutes, but Leonardo Alonzo headed home an equalizing goal at the end of regulation to steal the road point.
Coy Woods gave WPC the goal in the 58th minute after a nice combination play up the right flank.
Junior Cordon hustled to win a challenge deep in the corner, then found
Taeil Ban who centered a pass that Woods calmly deposited into the net to give the home team the lead.
The advantage didn't hold up however, and two overtime periods did not yield a game winner for either side.
