PORTLAND, Ore. – Warner Pacific broke a seven game losing streak with a 78-53 win over Walla Walla tonight in Cascade Conference action.
The host Knights (3-10, 1-3 CCC) tossed in a season high 78 points and won the rebounding battle 63-44, which included 21 offensive rebounds leading to 22 second chance points.
The second half belonged to Warner Pacific after the visiting Wolves (2-8, 0-4 CCC) had kept it close after the first 20 minutes. WPC led just 29-27 at halftime, but shot 48 percent in the second half to pull away for the convincing win.
Mady Hanna opened the 3rd quarter with a three pointer, spurring the Knights on to a dominating period which ended with a 15 point advantage for the hosts. The WP lead reached as many as 27 points in the 4th quarter.
Kyeli Hendryx again led Warner Pacific with 20 points.
Destiny Isaac-Pettiford come off the bench to add a season high 12 points.
WWU was led by Alyssa Blankenship with 16 points.
