PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Tech downed Warner Pacific, 63-58, tonight in CCC play thanks to a strong 4th quarter that erased a five point Knight lead late in the game.
The host Knights led 56-51 with 5:05 to play in the game but could only muster one more basket as OIT finished the game with a 12-2 run to steal the win.
After the visiting Owls built a 20-15 lead after the first quarter, The Knight defense frustrated the OIT offense into 31.5 percent shooting for the game. WP scored at a 38.9 percent clip to take the slim lead into the final period but couldn't find clear looks at the rim down the stretch. Oregon Tech kept the score close with a 25 to 11 advantage in free throws made.
The Knights were led by
Kyeli Hendryx with 20 points and 13 rebounds, while
Mady Hanna added 13 points.
Carly McIsaac was the top scorer for OIT with 14 points.
