PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific Volleyball defeated Walla Walla in straight sets (25-15, 25-17, 25-13) in Portland for their third win in row at C.C. Perry Gym.

The Short Story: Warner Pacific swept Walla Walla tonight to claim their third win in a row at home and third Cascade Conference win for 2016. The Knights were never seriously challenged as they held the Wolves to just 17 total kills and .047 hitting percentage.
Kealia Rosa again led the charge from the service line, registering four aces and WP as a team finished with 12.
Janessa Mast led the attack by swinging for 12 kills versus just two errors. WWU had few bright spots but did put up six total blocks and received five kills each from Morgan Doyle and Ashlyn Ghazal.
How it Happened
•
Brandy Velasquez got the Knights started right with three straight service aces to open set one and WP never trailed.
• WWU rallied briefly with four straight points to close within 17-11, but two aces from Rosa put WP on track to the 25-15 set one win.
• The Wolves moved out to a 6-4 lead in set two, but a 6-0 run from Warner Pacific gave the hosts the lead for good.
• Ghazal served over an ace for Walla Walla to close the gap to 13-10, but the Knights regrouped and Mast thumped three kills to push WP to the 25-17 win.
• The Knights jumped out to a 5-1 lead, but WWU fough back to within 11-9 after a 4-0 run.
• WPC slowly pulled away thanks to a pair of kills from
Jordan Hunter and consecutive aces from
Janessa White.
