PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific watched a 14 point lead melt away late in the game, as Corban completed a 4th quarter comeback to defeat the Knights 59-50 tonight in CCC action.
WPC once again had just six players available, but were the better team early on. The Knight defense was stingy in the first half, holding the visiting Warriors to 29 percent shooting and forcing 12 turnovers.
Kyeli Hendryx dropped in 16 first half points to lead the Knights to a 31-24 lead at the break.
The opening moments of the second half went Warner Pacific's way also, as a 10-3 run to start the 3rd quarter sent WP to their largest lead of the night (41-27).
Corban slowly climbed back into the game as the Knight offense lost its steam, and the Warriors outscored the home team 17-6 in the 4th quarter to earn the comeback win.
Sadie Pilgeram led Corban with 16 points, including four makes from the three point line.
Hendryx finished with 18 points to lead WPC, while
