PORTLAND, Ore. - The Warner Pacific men's wrestling team hosted a three-way dual with region powers Southern Oregon and Simon Fraser today, coming away with two losses.

Southern Oregon 37, Warner Pacific 15

The Knights faced NAIA #9 Southern Oregon to start the day's action. Joshua Johnson started the dual for WPC with a pin of Ian Rogers, but then the Knights suffered four straight losses including three by fall. Blake Cooper earned a win by major decision and Joe Dickinson scored a tech fall to put points on the board for WP, but the Raiders benefited from two forfeits (174lbs, 285lbs) and a major decsion at 197 to win the dual comfortably.

Simon Fraser 27, Warner Pacific 18

The Knights were more competitive versus the strong SFU team from Canada. Josh Johnson continued his strong season with another pin - again in the first round. Chas Peterson rebounded from a his loss vs SOU with a hard fought decision over Taber Spray, and Jesse Johnson controlled his opponent for a shutout win at 165lbs. SFU tallied enough points through two forfeits (174lbs, 285lbs), and wins at 184lbs and 197lbs to take the dual win.
