KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Warner Pacific watched a 13-point halftime lead evaporate in the second half, as Oregont Tech completed the comeback for a 65-58 win over the Knights on Saturday night at Danny Miles Court.
After a close first period, the Lady Knights picked up their defensive pressure limited OIT to just 5 points in the 2nd quarter. WPC added 19 points to their tally and 35-22 at the halftime break. Darbi Pink had 11 first half points to lead Warner Pacific.
The script was flipped after the break, as WP went cold and the host Owls found an offensive rhythm. As the buzzer sounded to end the 3rd quarter, the Knight lead had dwindled to 48-46.
The game remained close during the 4th and deciding period, with three lead changes early on but Tech took the lead for good on a Megan Morris trey with 4:49 remaining. Pink finished with 14 points for WP, with Kapil adding a season best 12 points and six rebounds.
The Lady Owls were led by Alix Biddington with a career-high night scoring 16 points, and Nohea Waiwaiole who added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
