PORTLAND, Ore. - College of Idaho used a strong defensive performance in the 4th quarter to hold off a pesky Warner Pacific squad tonight in Portland, 70-62.
The host Knights led 54-53 after three quarters of play, but C of I held WPC to eight points in the final period to pull away. The visiting Yotes scored at a 46 percent clip in the second half to make their surge, while Warner Pacific could perhaps chalk up their 26 percent effort from the floor to fatigue. The Knights had just six players in uniform for the fourth game in a row.
Maddie Skaggs led C of I with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Savanna Reid came off the bench to add 11 points.
The Knights were paced by
Bailey Allen with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead all players in both stats.
Kyeli Hendryx added 14 points and six assists.
