PORTLAND, Ore. – Rebounding from a loss the previous night, Warner Pacific College fought for a 3-0 sweep (25-22, 25-23, 25-19) of Northwest Christian University tonight at C.C. Perry Gym.
Janessa Mast swung for 17 kills to lead WP to the win.
The result was the first loss of the season for NCU (4-1, 1-1 CCC), while the host Knights picked up their first win (1-1, 1-1 CCC)
Kasey Campbell and Keri Schwarz were the top attackers for the Beacons with seven kills each, but the visitors could only muster a .155 hitting percentage. WPC was slightly better at a .175 efficiency, and also served over eight aces and dug up nine more balls than NCU to make the difference.
Jordan Hunter added eight kills for Warner Pacific, while Kealea Rosa led all players with 38 assists.
