PORTLAND - The C of I defense held Warner Pacific to 1 of 16 from the three point line, leading to a 75-57 win over the Knights at Bart Valentine Court.
The two teams scored nearly identical number of field goals, but the visiting Yotes made 12 of their 30 attempts from behind the arc.
C of I controlled the action in the first half, using 8 three pointers to build a 41-25 lead at halftime.Â
WPU managed to find a few more open looks at the rim in the second period, but timely field goals from the Yotes kept the gap above 12 points for the duration.Â
Gibson Berryhill led the victors with 16 points, while Justin Saunders added 12 - all from the three point line.
Collin Malcolm led the Knights with 17 points and 9 rebounds.
Corey Thomas added nine points off the bench.
