Bailey Allen scored 16 points and tallied 6 steals, and Warner Pacific forced 30 turnovers in a crucial 76-59 win over College of Idaho.
The game wasn't the prettiest for fans at C.C. Perry gym. The teams combined for 57 turnovers and 48 free throw attempts, with WPU making 22 of 28 freebies - a key stat in the win.Â
The visiting Yotes controlled the first quarter, holding WP to a single field goal while building a 16-12 lead. The Knights close the 2nd quarter on a 13-5 run however, and tied the game 34-34 at halftime.
A big 3rd quarter from the Knights put the game firmly in the hosts hands, and WP ended the second half shooting 15 of 25.
Kendyl Cone and
Gabriella Bruno added 12 points each, and
Darbi Pink broke out of a slump with 11 points to aid the Knights cause.
Mackenzie Royce scored 11, and Alyssa Case has 10 points and six rebounds to lead the visiting Yotes.
