PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific led by six at halftime, but the second half belonged to Northwest Christian as the Beacons surged to a 95-82 win over the Knights in Portland tonight.
For 30 minutes the host Knights looked to be the better team, leading at the break (45-39) and by 9 points with 10 minutes to play in the game (70-61). That's when the visiting Beacons took control and went on a 22-4 run to take the lead for good. 12 of those points in the run came from Logan Davis who nailed three shots from behind the arc. Â
The playoff picture looks a little more complicated for Warner Pacific after the loss. The Knights now sit in 7th place (14-10, 5-9 CCC) with five game to play in the regular season. NCU looks to host a first round game with a 9-5 CCC record.
Tyrus Hosley poured in 29 points to lift NCU, and Austin Tyner chipped in with 16 points.Â
Collin Malcolm led WP with 20 points and 9 rebounds, with
Terrance Wienecke adding 12 points and 11 rebounds.
