Knights Handle Eagles 89-72

PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific secured their 10th CCC win over the season with a 89-72 win over Northwest tonight in Portland.

The result makes the most league wins for the Knights since the 2012-13 season, when WP put 11 wins on the board. Deepika Kapil scored 20 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, while Emily Peters added a season high 16 points.

The host Knights shot a season best 51 percent from the field and hit 11 of 19 attempts from three point range.

After a close 1st quarter, WP surged ahead in the 2nd. A three point play to close out the half from Maryah Tipping gave the Knights a 42-31 advantage at the break.

WP's lead stayed at 10 or more for most of the 3rd period, with a bucket from NU's Miranda Langenhorst briefly cutting the gap to 8 points (62-54)

The 4th quarter saw Warner Pacific stretch the lead out to as many as 20 points, as the Knights converted at a high percentage with good looks at the rim.

NU was paced by 12 points each from Alyx Fast and Sam Van Loo.

Bailey Allen collected two steals, making her the all-time career leader at Warner Pacific with 203.
