Knights Hold Off Evergreen On Senior Night

PORTLAND, Ore. - Warner Pacific finished their regular season schedule with a 72-63 win over Evergreen tonight, sending their seven seniors away with a final home game victory.

The result secures the 6th seed for the Knights in the Cascade Conference playoffs, with an opponent yet to be determined until after the Corban/Walla matchup tomorrow.

The visiting Geoducks remain winless on the season, but were determined to give themselves a chance and trailed by just 3 (51-48) at the end of the 3rd quarter.

WP pulled away with some key baskets down the stretch, including a pair of shots from Katelyn Rossback.

Deepika Kapil wrapped up her senior season with 21 points and 19 rebounds.

Bailey Allen scored 15 points which pushed her over the 1000 point threshold for her career, making her just the 4th Knight to reach that milestone.

WP seniors Kapil, Rossback, Allen, Emily Peters, Maryah Tipping, Kendyl Cone, and Destiny Isaac-Pettiford were honored before the game for their contributions to Warner Pacific basketball.
