PORTLAND, Ore. - At the upcoming Cascade Conference women's basketball game featuring Warner Pacific versus Northwest Univ., the Knights will be "Hoopin' 4 the Homeless" as part of Homecoming festivities. For the 3rd year, the WPU ladies are supporting two charities that serve the homeless community in Portland.

A donation of 3 new pairs of socks will count as the price of admission for the game that starts at 5:30 pm. The donated socks will be given to the Union Gospel Mission for distribution.

The Knights will also be collecting money to support "Potluck in the Park." Every Sunday for twenty-five years, Potluck in the Park volunteers have prepared and served healthy wholesome meals with dignity and kindness at O'Bryant Square in downtown Portland. The women's basketball team has been working alongside career-volunteers at this tremendous organization that donate their time, talent and money to fight hunger in Portland.
