FOREST GROVE, Ore. - Warner Pacific defeated Pacific University on the road today, 3-0, and improved their record on the young season to 2-1.
The Knights received goals from
Elias Soto,
Kingsley Armah, and
Franklin Cordon with
Enrique Leal providing an assist on the first goal.
The WPU defense was particularly stout, going the full 90 minutes without allowing a single shot by the host Boxers. The contest was designated as an exhibition for Pacific.
"It was a good result for our team, and I'm encouraged by how we are improving," said coach
Troy Ready. "Pacific is a program we respect and enjoy playing just about every year. It's always a difficult game for us in Forest Grove, so the final score is a promising sign for the rest of the season."
