Knights Men's Soccer Finds Offensive Rhythm in 4-1 Victory Over Linfield

McMinnville, Ore. | Warner Pacific traveled to and defeated Linfield College on Friday night in their last non-conference match of the season, 4-1, improving to a 3-1 record before heading into Cascade Collegiate Conference play.

The ball seemed to play in favor for the Knights as they notched 18 shots, making nine on goal as opposed to Linfield's 13 and three. Four players found the back of the net for the Knights; Omar Alcazar, Elias Soto, Kingsley Armah, and Crystyan Lorenzo.

Warner Pacific closed out the first half with a 44th minute goal by Alcazar and the Knights were able to find their rhythm quickly in the second half as Senior, Elias Soto's head met a cross-ball from Oscar Padilla in the 49th minute. The Wildcats were able to put one in the back of the net off of a corner kick in the 68th minute. WPU was able to seal the victory with two more quick goals in the 71st and 86th minutes by Armah and Lorenzo.

The Knights begin conference play on Friday, September 20th, traveling to College Place, WA to face the Wolves of Walla Walla University. The match is set for 3 PM.
