Portland, Ore. | Jalen Ballard stacked the stat sheet on a career night for the Senior out of Vancouver, Washington as the Knights defeated the Multnomah Lions 97-81 on Tuesday night. Ballard scored a career high 27 points, shooting 7-11 from the arch, while grabbing eight boards and dishing out seven assists.
Â
Three other Knights scored in double-digits;
Stephon Shaw with 19 off the bench,
DeAngelo Stowers with 15 and
Miles Brown with 14.
Â
The game started slow for Warner Pac, who trailed MU for the first nine minutes of the game, at one point, by 12. The Knights' shooting then came to life, thanks to Ballard and Shaw, who combined for 11 of the teams 15 three-pointers. Warner Pac took the lead from the Lions with 11:45 remaining in the first half, and never looked back, managing to head into the locker room with a fifteen-point lead.
Â
As the second half started, the Lions, who started the game not missing a bucket, couldn't buy one and the Knights continued to go on a tear and extend the lead, giving no space for a Lion comeback. Ballard scored 18 of his 27 in the second half, including a series of back-to-back-to-back corner threes; going on a solo 9-0 run.
Â
Morris Bethea grabbed 11 boards for Warner Pac, as the team outrebounded the Lions 58-38.
Â
Warner Pacific will head to Eugene on Thursday to play in a non-conference game against New Hope Conference at 7pm and then will have the weekend off. They will pick up CCC play on Friday January 31, hosting Eastern Oregon. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm.
