Portland, Ore. | Warner Pacific Softball played their first home game in over 25 years on Wednesday night. The Knights moved to 4-1 after a come from behind performance against NCAA Division III Williamette University on Wednesday night.

A beautiful sunny 50 degree day in Portland turned cold and bitter right as the first pitch was being thrown out by Warner Pacific University President Dr. Andrea Cook to kick off the season.

After three innings, Warner Pacific trailed 1-0. The Knights bounced back after a monstrous triple by
Makenzie Kimura, ringing in 2 RBI's as the ball rolled all the way to the fence.

At the end of five innings, the Knights led the Bearcats 2-1. In the bottom of the sixth, the first batter to step to the plate for Warner Pac,
Emma Foster, who sent a ball far beyond the boundaries for a 220-yard bomb, that ended up being the go-ahead score. This was Foster's second home run in two games. After four games,
Emma Foster leads the Knights in batting average with .467.

It was a quiet day on the plate for
Katie Gleasman, who coming into tonight contest, had 3 HR's in two games. The Junior out of Chelan, Washington leads the Knights with a 1.154 Slugging percentage.

McKenzie Pierce owns three of the four Warner Pac wins on the mound. The Junior out of Gresham, is 3-0 in Grey and Columbia Blue. Pierce has only allowed one home run in four games.

As a team, Warner Pacific has a .321 batting average.

The Knights and Bearcats will alternate dugouts on Saturday with Warner Pac heading to Salem for a double-header scheduled, weather permitting, for 12 and 2 pm.
