Knights Defeated by No. 8 Oregon Tech

Klamath Falls, Ore. | Warner Pacific (14-14, 9-10 CCC) fell to No. 8 Oregon Tech (23-6, 13-6 CCC) 73-99 on Friday night. The Knights will close out the regular season on Saturday at Southern Oregon.

Miles Brown led the Knights in scoring 19 points, shooting 4-4 from the free-throw line.

The Knights led the Hustlin' Owls for the first five minutes of the game before OIT was able to find their rhythm at the 15:06 mark in the first half. They led from that point on.

The Knights hung around in the first half, finding ways to respond to an OIT run with one of their own. Halfway through the first 20 minutes, the Knights trailed by two. The Owls then went on a 11-2 run to close out the half and extend their lead to 18 just before half.

Things didn't cool down for the Hustlin' Owls after the break, they came out to a hot 7-0 run, extending the lead into the mid-twenties at this point. OIT, a very good shooting team, continued to make the extra pass and find the open player while continuing to play defense against the Knights.

As the offense continued to flow for OIT, Warner Pac continued to play catch-up. The No. 8 team in the country showed why they've received that ranking. The Hustlin' Owls finished the forty-minute game with a twenty-six point margin of victory.

The Knights did however, force nine OIT turnovers versus their seven.

Jalen Ballard followed behind Brown in scoring with 15 points. KJ Bosco grabbed seven boards to go along with his eight points.

Seth Erickson OIT in scoring with 22, shooting 4-5 from deep.

The Knights will close out the regular season in Ashland on Saturday with a 7:30pm scheduled tip-off.
