Portland, Ore. | After many weather delays and cancellations, Warner Pacific was finally able to host the No. 24 Corban University Warriors who managed to head back to Salem on Sunday with a weekend sweep over the Knights. The Knights move to 11-10 and 3-6 in conference play while the Warriors improve to 13-5 and 8-1 in conference play.

In the first game of the series, the Knights, at the time sitting in the number 4 spot in the conference, hung in there with the No. 24 Warriors managing to score two runs in the first inning. Warner Pac continued to hold the lead through three innings before Corban was able to cross home plate.

Once the Warriors were able to take a 3-2 lead over the Knights in the fifth inning,
Grace Utto-Galarneau stepped to the plate and doubled. The next batter,
Devinne Amesquita was walked and in her attempt to steal second base, Utto-Galarneau was able to run home to tie the contest. Ultimately, in the top of the 7
th, the Warriors were able to get the go-ahead run and take game one from the Knights in a 4-3 fashion.

After giving up two runs in the first inning of game one, the Warriors responded in game two taking a 2-0 lead in the first of game two. Corban held the lead until the Knights responded with two runs of their own in the next inning. Corban took a 4-2 lead after 4.5 innings.

In the next half-inning,
Rebekah Roe stepped to bat which turned into a 2 RBI single to tie the game once more. The Knights took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the 5
th with a
Makenzie Kimura single RBI and a
Melia Croydon SAC fly. The Warriors responded with three runs in the top of the 6
th inning to take a 7-6 lead over the Knights.

With the Knights down one and one inning to go,
Grace Utto-Galarneau stepped to the plate only to send the ball 15-feet beyond the boundary and with her second home run of the season. The Junior out of Lacey, Washington had tied the game to force extra innings. The contest continued on for two more innings before Corban managed to score three runs in the 9
th inning to end Day One with a 2-0 record.

Day Two started with four Corban runs right off the bat then immediately following, four Warner Pac runs the following inning with a
Rebekah Roe RBI and 2
Emma Foster RBI's. Throughout the next five innings the teams exchanged runs and at the bottom of the 6
th inning, the Knights trailed 6-7. Up to bat, none other than
Grace Utto-Galarneau to crush a ball nearly 260-feet over the left field fence brining in
Rebekah Roe.

Just as it seemed Utto-Galarneau's bomb would be the walk-off, the Warriors responded in the top of the 7
th with three runs and snatch the victory from the Knights.

The Warrior hitting frenzy continued through game four as the Warriors were able to outscore the Knights 9-2 in the contest and head to Salem with four victories.

Grace Utto-Galarneau hit for .266 on the weekend with 2 Home Runs and 3 RBI's.
Emma Foster and
Rebekah Roe finished the weekend with 3 RBI's each.

The Knights will host a non-conference double-header on Tuesday against NCAA Division II competitor Saint Martin's University at 3 & 5pm at Delta Park.
