The Rundown
Warner Pacific led the No. 1 team in the nation for 6.5 innings on Friday afternoon, striking fear in the Red Raiders.
Through three innings, both team's defense remained tight, keeping the game scoreless before Warner Pacific's
Devinne Amesquita stepped to the plate. The junior from West Linn, Oregon pounded a ball to left center, bringing in the team's only scores for the game.

Maintaining their lead through the remainder of the innings, at the bottom of the seventh, the No. 1 team in the nation was on the brink of being upset. Proving why they're the reigning champs, Riley Donovan knocked a walk-off single and the Red Raiders completed the comeback.

In game two, SOU looked more like themselves; getting 11 runs on 18 hits. Warner Pac went up first, scoring two runs in the first inning but the Red Raiders responded with a six-run inning. Eventually the game was called after five innings as SOU went up 11-3 and thus rounding out the sweep on the weekend.
