PORTLAND | For the first time in his 26-year coaching career, Warner Pacific head Women's Basketball coach
Matt Gregg was not on the sidelines when his team took the floor on Saturday night. Gregg, who is in Indianapolis to root on his youngest son, Ben Gregg and the Gonzaga Bulldogs in the NCAA Men's Basketball Sweet Sixteen and hopefully Elite Eight, sat in a hotel room in Indianapolis on Saturday night and watched his two-year assistant,
Alex Brown, lead the Knights to a 72-70 victory over the Linfield Wildcats.
Brown did Gregg proud, "I'm happy that Alex had the opportunity to coach the team tonight" the head coach said. "I have complete trust in him and when someone takes a chance with him, they will be happy" he added.
The Knights move to 4-3 on the season.
