PORTLAND | The heavy hitting Warner Pacific Knights seemed to cool off on Saturday as the team dropped both contests of the double-header to the No. 5 Oregon Tech Lady Owls. The Knights move to 13-18 (6-12 CCC) on the season.

The Rundown
Warner Pacific managed to make contact with the ball 10 times in game one but the Lady Owls defense did their job keeping the Knights from scoring more than one run.

Offensively, the Lady Owls proved why they received the No. 5 ranking, scoring at least a single run in all but one inning in the game.

Game one had a combined total of 21 hits between the two teams; Warner Pacific with 10 and Oregon Tech with 11.

Jamie Carlson and
Emma Foster both led the Knights with a double in the contest while three other Knights notched a at least one hit on the day (
Macy Besuyen,
Payton Hergert and
Sarah Stanfill).

Oregon Tech's Sarah Abramson struck out 12 batters on the day.

On the mound for the Knights was
Melia Croydon. The freshman finished with zero walks and one strikeout.

Oregon Tech took game two by storm wire to wire as the Lady Owls defeated the Lady Knights 9-1 in six innings. The Lady Owls took a quick 5-0 lead after just one inning, forcing pressure on Warner Pac.

The Knights, who couldn't find the offensive answer, managed to get just three hits and one run in the contest. The lone run coming off from
Sarah Stanfill's stolen home base.
