Warner Pacific Knights Send Seniors Off with Win over Multnomah

Portland | On Saturday, the Lady Knights took on the Multnomah Lions for the second day in a row. However, this afternoon's game was no ordinary event, as we honored three of our seniors, Kali Kruger, Gabriella Bruno, and Khloe Snair as they play their final 40 in CC Perry Gymnasium. The Knights also honored their teammate Alexa delos Reyes after her 9th year of being a part of the program.

"What a great senior day!" exclaimed Knights head coach Matt Gregg. "I thought our execution was the best it has been all year.  I'm going to miss our seniors and their leadership next year" he added.

The Rundown

It was a new day for the Knights, as they made sure to come out fired up out of the gate early this afternoon. Kali Kruger moved to No. 2 on the All-Time Leader for blocked shots with three on the day.

The Knights kept the pressure on early and often. Courtney Jackson went on a 7-0 scoring run for the Knights to close out the 1st quarter, right before the Knights perfectly executed a full court out of bounds play to get Kylie Guelsdorf an easy lay-up at the buzzer.

Kylie Guesldorf carried that momentum into the opening minutes of the second quarter as she had back-to-back buckets for the Knights. Followed by a beautiful 15-feet pull-up jumper by Gabriella Bruno with 90 seconds left in the first half.

The Knights headed into the break, up 10 on the Lions.

It was only up from there for the Knights, senior Khloe Snair drained a three-pointer with 5:40 left in the 3rd.

The Knights kept their foot on the gas, as Hannah Meyers sank a three from beyond the arc with just over one minute eft in the 3rd quarter putting the Knights up 53-32.

With the Knights in control in the 4th, Javbiene Menguita checked into the game to put up a floater of her own for her first two points. The Knights coasted to a 71-52 win over the Lions.
