PORTLAND | Miles Brown sank five threes en route to tying his career-high 25-points in Warner Pacific's Friday night's 86-69 victory over Eastern Oregon. The senior out of Sandy, Oregon grabbed 10 boards for his first double-double of the season. The Knights picked up a desperately needed victory to move to 2-5 (1-2 CCC).

"I thought tonight was the definition of a great team win" said Knights head coach
Jamayne Potts. "We had great contribution from everyone, from the starters to the bench" he commented. Five Knights scored in double figures. "I also thought we had better energy tonight which allowed the guys to feed off of one another" the first year head coach added.

After nearly four minutes of being held scoreless, Warner Pacific managed to finally find the nylon. From that point on, it was uncommon not to. The team shot 46% from the field in the first half.

The Knights took the lead from the Mounties at the 10:25 mark of the first half and never relinquished. Warner Pacific headed into the intermission with a nine point lead.

Miles Brown provided a spark off the bench for Warner Pac, shooting 5-7 from the behind the arch on the night. The 6-3 senior had 16 at the halfway mark.

With Eastern's halftime adjustment to Brown,
Drew Magaoay's quickness forced the EOU defense to adjust once again. The Washington native went on a solo 6-2 run to open the second half.

Eastern Oregon didn't go down without swinging; the Mounties clawed their way back into the ball game with a much needed three-pointer from the program's soon-to-be All-Time Leading scorer, Max McCullough. The senior from Post Falls, Idaho, sank a 24-footer to make it a two-possession ball game with eight minutes to go.

Grinding it out to the end, Warner Pacific closed out the game with an 11-6 run, extending the lead to their largest of the night at 17.

A much needed morale boost for a Knight program coming off of a five-game losing streak, the ball made friends with the net. The team finished the night shooting 50% from the field and 38% from deep. The Knights missed just one free throw on the night, shooting 18-19 from the charity stripe, rounding out to 94.7%; all of which are season-highs.

Eastern Oregon was led by McCullough's 21 point, five rebound kind of night. On the verge of making history, the Idaho native is just six points shy of becoming Eastern Oregon's All-Time Leading scorer, a record that has been held for 47 years.

Warner Pacific dominated the boards, outrebounding the Mounties 46-26, giving up just eight offensive rebounds. The Knights' tallied 16 assists on 29 made baskets. Â
